A Wee Stocking Stuffer for You
Happy holidays, all!
You may have noticed that I’m not the most frequent blogger, but I wanted to give you all a little present.
Some of you may know that I did a little home-recorded Christmas CD in the back room of our apartment at the time, just over 10 years ago. “Better than Fruitcake” (because Robyn doesn’t like fruitcake) wasn’t intended for market – quite frankly I wouldn’t have had a clue how to go about it back then – but it did seem to go over quite well, and rather more broadly than I expected.
Recently, I have gotten the message loud and clear that it’s time to properly record some more holiday tunes and release a “real” Christmas CD. So, my Christmas present to those who have been asking – I will be heading to the studio with a bunch of great holiday songs and some great musical guests… so there will be a new Christmas CD next year!
Wait… A whole year to wait? That’s not much of a present, is it? Here, let’s have a bit of a stocking-stuffer to tide you over. Help yourself to this free download of one of my favourite Christmas songs: It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.
Happy Christmas to you all, and a fine 2016 be yours. Hope to see you around soon.
All the best,
David
Ceilidh’s Pub 2nd Anniversary
I’ll be at my favourite home-away-from-home, Ceilidh’s Pub, to celebrate their 2nd year of food, spirits, and good times in Dartmouth. Expect great music all weekend, and I’ll be there to do my bit on Sunday, September 20 for a matinee at 4:00pm.
